Procedure for School Closure
● We have been informed that the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has closed ALL schools from Monday, 3/16 to Friday, 3/27.
● We closed this past Friday (as a preventative measure), in order to have our buildings disinfected due to the numerous cases of flu among our student population; we had a daily average of 15% absent this past week.
● I realize that some of your children may not have all their books home with them.
● YOUR CHILDREN WILL NEED ALL OF THEIR BOOKS HOME WITH THEM, DUE TO THE FACT THAT TEACHERS WILL BE POSTING WORK ON A DAILY BASIS FOR YOUR CHILDREN TO COMPLETE. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL; IT IS MANDATORY THAT THIS WORK BE COMPLETED each day. They should have approximately 3 hours of work each day.
● Grades 4 to 8 should submit the work on a daily basis to the teacher using the Google Classroom format. Grades 1 to 3 should complete the work as it is assigned on the teachers’ Websites and be prepared to submit upon returning to school.
Our Plan
● This is to inform you that we will open our school buildings on Monday,
March 16, and allow you to come into the building to get the books. WE WILL NOT BE OPENED FOR INSTRUCTION UNTIL THE DIOCESE GIVES US THE ALL CLEAR TO RETURN.
● We will be open the following times:
7:30 to 10 AM 12 TO 2 PM 5 TO 6:30 PM
● Parents may come in on their way to work or after work; your child need not be present. I know this is not an easy situation and far from perfect, but we are doing our best in a difficult time.
